SIGIS 2 systems have been deployed by emergency response forces since 2006. SIGIS 2 is part of the equipment of analytical task forces in

• Copenhagen (Denmark),
• Dortmund (Germany),
• Hamburg (Germany),
• Jylland (Denmark),
• Magdeburg (Germany),
• Mannheim (Germany),
• Munich (Germany),
• Vienna (Austria), and
• Rome (Italy).

SIGIS 2 systems have been deployed successfully during:

• FIFA football World Cup 2006 (5 Systems)
• G-8 Summit 2007 (3 systems)
• EURO 2008 football championships (3 systems)
• NATO summit 2009 (3 systems)
• Various state visits (e.g. official visit of U.S. president in Germany in 2006)
• G-8 Summit 2009
• Climate Summit 2009 in Copenhagen.

Other systems are used in scientific projects such as

• Security research
• Atmospheric research (University UNAM, Mexico)
• Volcanology (INGV, Italy)
• Measurement of aircraft emissions (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology)
